Just been watching race 1 on the telly - is everyone else there in person ?

What is it with most of the drivers - show them a few puddles and they are all in the gravel traps ?  They are all on wets so what is the excuse ? Granted that the rain is / was heavy, so why don't they drive to the conditions just like we do in rallying ?

I guess this is the old debate between rallying & circuit racing !

i was helping out in the viking classic on sunday and getting very wet but i have just watched the BTCC on telly was certainly wet  but what a cracking race round 14 was (race 2)
Just shows you how thick race marshalls are fancy standing behind the car in them conditions us rally marshalls could teach them a bit about safety  lol

Don't like to speak badly about marshals, but yes, I think they were "very optimistic" to try to recover / assist the first car off at Tower when the rest of the field were still racing past.
The conditions did make for good viewing though.

How was the Viking Classic - did our old road rally pal Andy Beaumont do OK in the Mk1 RS2 ?

it was very wet on morning, Andy Beaumont finished 7th  and 4th in class  although was entertaining as was the rest of the field there was some very rough terrain as M Smailes will tell you and as we did more than one stage we got an evening meal which was very nice althouh was a long day very tired on night set of at 6am got home at 10pm) have done longer days but with lack of sleep felt the worse for it this morning but anyway what a good day it was

Missed it on TV, then on ITV4 tonight, think it's repeated at 10 to 1 tomorrow morning, Sky+ is set.

Sally and myself were up at Kames, it was ok until it rained!

Hope you remembered that More Puddles = Less Grip ! (unlike a lot of the "professional" drivers at Croft)
