 |
|
After 2 seasons of use I have had to finally lay the Evo 1 to rest, she burned many hundreds of logs in many forests and campsites, both at rallies and when I was away in the lakes etc camping with the boys. She will be sadly missed.
I have therefore built the Evo 2 version for 2008......
Improvements...
40% bigger hearth, or "focus" to those of you who know your Latin
Iron grate for improved burn
removable sunken ash pan (with finger hook) for easy cleaning
Built on the same chassis as the evo 1..cool to touch up to two inches from the focus (easy to move!)
100% flat packable for transportation
1 minute build
Same two prong securing poles
First test run in the lake district on Friday night!!
as some members on here will know the Evo firepit has been to: - Jim Clark rally, Pirelli, Cheviot, Tyneside stages, Trackrod, Rally GB, Hamsterley, Border Counties...either at the rally or a campsite nearby!! The Ultimate fire pit..the Evo 2 - 2008!! !

this bad boy ate a whole 20 foot tree at the pirelli last weekend.
We chopped down a 20 footer on friday afternoon (if you've never chopped a proper tree down with a proper axe in a proper forest, not your aunties dead apple tree in her back garden, I recommend it as one of those things to do before you die!), by 5pm on saturday about half a ton of wood was a pile of ashes the size of a football.
awesome heat!! (and free) _________________

started life as a kettle bbq.
I went and asked the lads down the tip and they dug me one out FOC.
Hence why it cost me nothing to build _________________
