Topic arose on Wednesday if a course car driver had to have passed a BARS test, I thought yes, JTW no.
Blue book H.231.
There must only be 2 crew members in each zero car who must wear overalls, helmets and seat belts. Fire extinguishers must be fitted and armed as for competitiors. Both crew members of each car must be signed on officials and it is recommended that the driver is a current licence holder and that one of the crew should have been involved in the pre event planning. No driver who is barred from holding a competition licence can drive and official, safety or zero car through a special stage. Further guidelines available from the MSA.
I stand corrected.
