We're set up and ready!

This year's ScoobyFest, at Elvington Airfield this Sunday the 20th, is set to be the best Scooby event so far!

Scooby Sprint Championship Final
Entries sold out long ago, so this is set to be a packed final.

- The constructors championship is going down to the wire, with Tracktive and Scooby Clinic are seperated by 3 points!

- Rob North and Kevin Horsley are seperated by 1 point in the Privateer's championship!

- Andy Forrest Perforamnce is trailing the Modified Class championship by a single point!

- And a total of SIX drivers with a mathematical chance of taking the overall driver's championship, with this double-points final!

How often does THAT happen in a motorsport series?!

The 2009 Scooby Shootout 1/4 Mile Drag race is offering unlimited entries this year, so bring your scooby along and have a go, or just come and watch the fastest Subarus on earth tearing up the tarmac.

We're very proud to say that Colin McRae's actual Impreza WRC car has been kindly loaned to us by Prodrive, and will be on display, so come and take this opportunity to see it in the flesh and get a photo or two.

To continue the WRC theme, Scooby Sprint has been selected to test some new timing technology used on the World Rally Championship.  So the Scooby Sprint competitors will sit on the start line and watch those famous WRC Start Lights count them down into the stage.

I really hope you have a great day, and we all look forward to seeing you there.

Cheers
Simon

Or you could have gone to a proper event at Harewood.

I like the way the damage at the rear is the exact same shape of the armco barrier.

Also... i was at Harewood Hill............  and i wish i had chose the Subaru do instead.
talk about robbery....   £10 each to see a load of red flags, caterhams and pugs.....  £6 for burger and chips  THAT WERE COLD !!!

  Never Again.

Probably! I only succumbed to a coffee at £1.20 and 99 ice cream for £2.00.

The entry fee was enough at what worked out as £20 per run but it is a great venue wth a great atmosphere.

Also it  was worth hearing the clang of Ferrari against armco 4 times to prove money and fast cars don't equal talent.

A few pics from yesterday!! as an event I would say its a very watered down tarmac SV but the drag strip was something enjoyably different and the weather was perfect. nice to see N1 WRC but disappointed at the no show of the S14 WRC car to contest the event.

Still not a patch on standing in a forest in the same weather with a barby going and beers. If nowt else its because the ALS had nothing to echo off.

That Ferrari was pulled in at a layby a mile or so back towards Collingham when we left, presumably waiting for the AA to give him a lift home.........

Just a coincidence that I pranged my Ferrari against a none existant barrier right next to Harewood Hillclimb when the Ferrari Hillclimb Championship was there.......honest!

I'll say one thing about Harewood, and that is that they are very slow when they have to recover a car that's either broken down or gone off on the course.  They need to get up to Croft and speak to Eric and Kev to learn how to recover cars quickly.  There's way too much time lost and wasted as they mess about just now.

Cheers,

Simon.

PS A tenner isn't bad to see a days worth of motorsport.  The catering their though is a way too expensive.  I paid nearly £11 for two pies, one portion of chips and two cans of pop on Saturday.  I'll bring sarnies next time.
