I have a long term project car which finally is starting to come together so it's time to start thinking about what I can do with the car once it's done.

I know I'm doing this kind of backwards but due to the car being built as an all rounder to my dream (with-in my budget ) spec not to the reg's for a particular series.

I'd like to see where it fits into the sprint/hillclimb classes!

So the car is a Honda CRX with...

1. Custom cages MSA spec weld in cage.

2. B16a Honda engine (which came in CRX's of the shape tho mine from the factory had a different engine, I know this shouldn't be a problem as a friend runs a car thats had this done).

3. The Engine is turbo charged & has a fairly large spec list including forged pistons/rods, after market intake manifold & valve train.

4. Y21 hydraulic clutch gearbox converted to use a cable clutch system (it's stronger which helps with the extra torque the engine makes)

5. SFI spec fuel cell fitted with a bulk head/firewall.

6. Lexan window replacements bar the front screen.

7. No rear interior or carpets.

8. Custom door cards for the front doors (The door bars are in the way of the stock cards).

9. 4-pot Hi-Spec brakes with 2 piece discs for the front.

10. Koni 2 way adjustable coilovers

11. Custom made camber adjustable front suspension arms.

12. Custom made front crossmember/front radius arms for adjusting castor.

13. Polly bushes through out.

14. Mugen (factory optional) bodykit (it's wind tunnel developed so it's not just to make it look nice!)

15. Composite vented bonnet (to help get rid of all the heat the turbo creates).

16. Undertray with built in rear defuser.

17. All sorts of items changed or moved to suit the turbo engine/fuel cell installation (battery/fuel pump/radiator etc).

I also have a nitrous kit tho it can be disabled when not needed as it's for a power adder for drag racing & for top speed runs for intake charge cooling

Sorry for the long post but I thought the more information you have the better information you can give me!

On the face of it would run in sports libre although if it had an MSA logbook then class M2 (modified) would be possible...I think.

Any pics?

What sort of cars would that put me with then?

Having the car log booked isn't a problem if it puts the car in a class is could be a little more competitive.

Bike engined kit cars, cars with engines from other manufacturers (Vauxhall red top in an escort), V6 in a 4 cylinder only production car, and things like radicals.

Winning is not everything (voice of a loser), there is a good social environment at the sprints, pop to Teesside on Good Friday and have a look around. There is another sprint on May 5th at Teesside.

Driving the car will be great fun no matter what :)

I'm sure there will be a car or two that I can compare my performances to

I planned on calling over on good friday to get a fix on what goes on :)
