Christmas stages 2009

Thought I'd start early!
joe_the_waiter

club sec

I would certainly like to but Equally Sally or Colin could enter as drivers now.
skodaman

No i can't. Haven't sent for licence yet!!
Gav Taylor

doesnt matter who's driving just get an entry in guys / gals
club sec

Is yours in?

regs aren't out for 2 months.
Gav Taylor

will be when I win the lottery this satdee and get meself an S14
slippy

I smell a comeback
slippy

Howay then who's doing what ?

Driving, Co-Driving, servicing, specatating ????
Gav Taylor

will prob go along as its 10 mins from my house and there's never owt on the TV at that time of year.

I'll come up to you and ask for your autograph when some birds are near slip

pay me back by letting me smell your fingers a bit later on
slippy

Quite funny for you that son
club sec

Regs should be avaialble from next Friday November 6th.
slippy

Think we might have a slice
club sec

Tempted.
club sec

Just had a look at the smogsport site and saw a pic of the 2007 CS with the Mini in the gravel with the Clio sticking it's arse out at Clerveaux, made me smile.
rednax86

I'll be at the Xmas stages in a photographic (not pornographic) role.

It could have been a comical, embarassing and expensive error thankfully I missed the gravel and the Mini
club sec

In case you don't know this event is now on the 2nd of January 2010 following an issue with noise at Croft.
slippy

Aye cheers mate read it on the Forum and had various emails/notifications etc

Entry went in yesterday
Gav Taylor

sweet me and a friend are gonna go for a watch and to thieve slips biscuits
slippy

You will be on butty van duty mate
skodaman

I'll be there! Will be on SDMC movie duty. Come to the first club night
of the year to see the footage!

is it not going out on Dave like Col?
skodaman

My footage is far better than DAVE! No daft presenter, no sideshows, pure
unedited action without a commentator talking over the car noise. Only the
gale force wind of Croft circuit to contend with!
club sec

Might have to can any ideas of doing it as because the event is in 2010 not 2009 Sally would be forced to buy a new crash helmet to meet the regs, which in the current economic situation isn't likely.
slippy

Could youi not try and borrow one Sec ?
club sec

I don't think she'd be too keen on that idea.
skodaman

She can borrow mine! One event only & sticker from scruitineer!
club sec

You could do it, cars there if you want a crack at it.
slippy

Bend you mend it rules apply I presume ?
club sec

Of course, I'm sure you'd be the same with the Nova.
slippy

Fooking right, I actually had an official document drawn up
club sec

Sit rep:

I'm navigating Sally's driving. Skodman is team manager.

so less

and more

Simon

 Champion!

This will be the first Christmas Stages I've missed in years

Simon.
Gav Taylor

I'll pop over for some banter Sec
club sec

Started prep today

club sec

P****d off though cracked a lens on a Cibie
skodaman

I recognise that pile of scrap (in the corner!)
club sec

the front of my car looks like yours!
club sec

Oh and the belts run out 2010, and Sal needs a new crash helmet, i don't have enough money for rallying!
slippy

Yup we are starting today as well, not massive amounts to do tbh but we have a snag list to start on
club sec

Do you have any testing lined up?
slippy

Dont think we are going to bother tbh mate, it's only Croft so know what to expect and the fact that it's a power circuit we'll probably get minced anyway so just going out or the craic
joe_the_waiter

well if either of you require any tech help...  i may be able to spare some time... but cant guarantee. Should be available on the day tho
club sec

Power means we are shafted too, just doing it for the experience.

nice to see a MKII crew from Aycliffe out
slippy

Could be and should be you son
Gav Taylor

aye mate but not everyone has the means to do it.

I could have bought an (entry level-ish) rally car with my redundancy money but wouldnt have had anywhere to store it, etc.

Hopefully that'll change in the future
slippy

You pays your money you takes your choice
club sec

I wonder when the last time was Stockton had a female stage rally driver?

Certainly not in the last 15 years.
Gav Taylor

Good find Joe.

was it "SDMC and quattro" in google?
skodaman

I am certain that Sally will be the first SDMC lady driver on a stage event!
slippy

Is it wrong that can just imagine Mouton having one seriously hairy clout

If it was 80/20 wool twist at £7.99 per square yard she'd have £30 quids worth
club sec

I bet you still would though.
slippy

Yup
club sec

She was at Race retro a year or so ago, not bad for a 50 year old cheese eating surrender monkey.
club sec

2010 licence arrived today. Nat B stage, not bad for the MSA under 7 days tunaround.
