Classic car "get together" in Shildon Sunday 27th

My old man (who has no interest in cars whatsoever) decided to pop along to this on Sunday and get a few snaps I understand the local Tatra club then went off up to Hamsterley for a bit of a blast after the meet.

Not my thing but seeing as though he took the pics I thought I would share them with the forum rather than them just geting deleted. Maybe of interest to someone.

I think you can just make out the rally GB sticker on this mini

Re: Classic car "get together" in Shildon Sunday 2

I think that this is a Fairthorpe Electron......... my dad built one from a kit in the late fifties / early sixties. His version had a little bench rear seat & I remember travelling in the back when I was a little sprog. It had to go when little brother 1 came along. His next motor was a Ford Corsair 2000E with black vinyl roof.

Fairthorpes are quite rare so I will check with my old man whether this is actually one.

club sec

Any idea which club this was?

think was the tatra's owners club will ask me fatha to check.

why do you ask?

Because he has a secret fetish for Tatra's and he currently has a boner the size of Big Ben
