only observation would be the "latest" pictures look all crushed up can you resize/shape them so they are more aspect correct? | ||

Don't like the stuff on the right hand side, too much non essential material.

The 'latest' pics are the correct aspect ratio. i cropped to the size i required without changing the ratio. The font size is inline with the size on most websites today. the old website used large letters which i think made the site look dated. I might resize. The stuff on the right is useful info for many and keeps the website current. We need a website which is up to date with the latest in motorsport as well as club info. People are more likely to visit regular if there is something regular to look at. | ||

Only reason I'm saying it is cos its an easy tweek and makes site look loads better. |

Gav, Baz johnsons car is squeezed as it was used for a test purpose, however, it is not on the site i have online. if your still seeing that, refresh your browser as your looking at a cache version of the page which is no longer there | ||

Gav... did you read my last post.? Barry Johnsons car is NOT on the new website... therefore cant be squeezed.
(it was squeezed on the sample page i showed you couple of days ago, but it doesnt exist on the website now). Martin..... can you see Barry Johnsons Subaru on the new website? |

I cant see it now, so the question is was the pic squeezed to start with or does the website do it?
if the pics are automatically squeezed then its a fundamental problem, if they were resized by you then its no problem at all. BTW do we have a TOH meeting tomorrow? |

ok.......... lets start again....
the website doesnt resize any pics.... i have created them at the size you see. Barry Johnsons pic WAS squashed when i put it on the page as a test purpose on saturday, i didnt resize it as it was in for developement purposes. Barry johnsons car DOES NOT FEATURE on the new website. it was there on saturday when i just shot something in as an image, but NOT ON THE WEBSITE i have put online tonight. as i said.... you must of been looking at a 'cache' version of the website.... i.ie, your pc showed how it WAS .... not how it IS hopefully all clear now. rant over |

good idea to have the SDMC logo behind, but its not too clear on my screen, looks like a dusty finger mark. Could just be my settings though |

it is intended to be dark.... just visible. i spent a while trying different shades, sampling it on different screens (i.e. lcd screens show it quite clearly, whereas old screens dont) and finished up with that one. the effect i wanted was for it to be noticed only when you look. most of the titles on the left don't work as you can't get in to galleries features marshals links history contact us whats on and welcome is this ment to be like this or just a glitch | ||

this is correct sparky. i have only got a couple of pages done and you will notice that the pages that dont work are a slightly different shade. i might change the shading of the 'off' links, but as i will be redoing all of them (its all graphics which takes time to create), i'll leave it for now. i have only had time to get a bit done (so far has taken many hours.... creating graphics, images, and scripts to make things work) and will get other pages online as they are completed. The important thing was to get 'a website' back online. But its only a prototype and will change slightly before i start completing all the pages. | ||

website has a back seat at the moment, tho i have ideas for when i get going again. The important thing is that we have a web page out there and if you type 'stockton motor club' into google search engine.... you will find the .co.uk website top of the list.
Although i havent been working on it lately... it doesnt stop people submitting articles for the website. Anything given to me... i will do my best to have it online asap on the current guise of the website. (the finished article wont be much different). |
