Gav Taylor

I see those 2 marshals on the right at every rally I go to! Strange.

slippy

I spy Alan Edwards lurking round a Clio
Gav Taylor

who?

Mate of yours or somet like
slippy

Guy in the yellow 2nd from right my co driver in the road rally days
Gav Taylor

well spoken kinda guy, always very polite?
slippy

Yes but he has been known to lose his rag but I can be quite tesing at times
Gav Taylor

why did you sack him from SS?
slippy

Didn't, he wasn't in a position to contribute as he was paying to train as a riving instructor so quite admirably he said if I could find somebody who could chip in I should go with them but he would be there if we needed him
Gav Taylor

good honest set up there, dont get that much from boro like
slippy

Very good of him have to admit
Gav Taylor

was he any good though?
slippy

Better than you

He was steady away mate on the stages and a legend on road rallies
Gav Taylor

good mentor for a then nipper
slippy

Indeed and he's probably do the same for another young nipper I know who is starting out
Gav Taylor

to summarise, I may contact him through his son bro. though they may not share the same surname they always seem to be together out on rallies and the frequent calling of "son" leads me to believe that there some form of paternal link
Gav Taylor

unles of course you have a phone number in which case a pissabout on facebook will be completely unnecessary
slippy

I do have a phone number and  an email but I am not aware of any 'son' from a previous 'knock;

PM me if you reqire said detail
Gav Taylor

your boy's been about son
slippy

Rather not give that much thought thanks mate

Details pending if required
Gav Taylor

shall we file this until needed captain.
slippy

Yes lets do that though I suspect Alan maybe incapable of co driving by the time you get sorted out
Gav Taylor

Gav Taylor

I'll probably use all of your rally contacts big lad!

I'll run a Smog Sport B team
slippy

Any support you need mate I will assist were I can, as I have had a lot of help/guidance from people so only fair to share the wealth
Gav Taylor

slippy

My pleasure Gavin

Road Rally Dave

Looks like there were a few of the road rally boys out for a drift (as they say in Wales).
How did Darkie Lewis (& Dan) get on in the modern blue BMW ?  Darkie can be quite spetacular when the mood takes him, but thought he would have used his Escort for this type of event ?
