f1 back on track?Well it is almost time for the f1 season start.
Hopefully it should be a cracker like it was last year
With the removal of traction control as a major factor there might be a few mishaps on the track and how will renault do with out it as there starts over the last few years have been a great asset to them.
And having no spare car to race if anything happens is that good? Personally if there is a major incident at the start (as SPA a few years back) we might end up with only a few cars on track and that would be no good.
But anyway can L Hamilton do it this year lets hope so
Good luck to him

He did have a 2.0l 4 pot until he forgot to put the oil cap back on and set off to to Edinburgh for a meeting...it lasted 150 miles before the pistons welded themselves to the block.

f1 australiawell its half an hour before the first race of the season with hamilton on pole but watch out for raikonen coming through from 15th after gaining an extra place off track as timo glock loses 10 places due to new regs (5 for a new gear box and 5 for blocking another driver)after originally doing a good quali and getting up to 9th
|

australiawell thats it 1st race over and with only 7 finishers hamilton wins followed by Heidfeld and Rosberg and best of all ferrari no points :smt097 Unlucky for Bourdais (torro rosso) who classified 8th but went out with engine failure 3 laps to go on his f1 debut

Massa well ahead in pole with Raikkonen 2nd and Trulli a great 3rd

MalaysiaWell after a lack luster race in Malaysia for L Hamilton who finished fifth after using wrong tyres most of the race and stuck behind M Webber for half of the race and also a tyre change problem. But it was a walk in the park for K Raikkonen who finished 40secs ahead of Kubica and H Kovalainen a further 20secs behind. Now a long two weeks for the next gp wich moves over to Bahrain.

5. Heikki Kovalainen McLaren Mercedes 14
6. Felipe Massa Ferrari 10
at the moment it could be anyones championship but who will walk away with the spoils

Outside bet on Heidfeld might be worth a dabble, consistent and sure to win a race soon.
|

i have to agree with u marti consistancy will win in the end Heidfeld would be a good outside bet
|

well after spain and championship's going ferrari way Hamilton and mclaren need to find some speed somewhere just hoping they do it next week in Istanbul - Turkey

well what a major co!* up for Hamilton in the canadian gp but it is good to see new faces up there and good old reliable D.C back on the podium
|
club sec
|
Is Kubica the ugliest man ever to win an F1 race?
|
club sec
|
Mediocre race, was hoping for Raikonnen to lose more time and let Toyota have a second place, still a good result in what was a bad week for them off the track.
Hamilton is losing it, he can't take the pressure.
Kubica is down but not out and again took the P**s out of Heidfeld.
Silverstone next, looking like another 1-2 for the mighty red machines.......hope it rains!
|
Gav Taylor
|
Hamilton needs to get himself sorted and quick otherwise he's in danger of being another Button or Coulthard...drivers who basically pad out the race while the podiums are fought out well in front of them.
Never liked F1 boring as hell always boils down about 2 or 3 people every season, whats the point of all the rest even being there??
|
steaallan
|
come on it aint that bad there is a five way split at the top with Kubica been a good outside bet the way he is totting up those points
but anyway silverstone here we come i cant wait

Gav until you have been to an F1 race you cannot understand the utter thrill of the noise.
Last time I went to Silverstone I got goosebumps when I was about 3 miles away, just from the noise, sheer magic.
Ask Skodaman about the old Renault Turbo engies too, they nearly popped your eardrums!

great news lads what u think? Donnington got the F1 for ten years starting in 2010
|
club sec

Well they will have it for a year, just so Bernie can get it away from Silverstone and then make an excuse saying the facilities are no good and pull the Britsih GP altogether.
|
steaallan
|
no no i disagree donnington is a great circuit and they will plough a lot of money into the facilities plus it is a much better circuit to go and watch at with high banking to sprawl out on in the summer
|

I agree that Silverstone is generally boring to watch on TV, but being there to watch is always superb for the sheer noise and speed (even though I haven't been since early 90's).
The GP on Sunday was superb due to the conditions and Hamilton did a real Schumacher and made everyone else look a bit foolish - did he even notice that it was raining ??
Normally the GP2 races are much more fun, but Sunday afternoon was a bit special.

What I want to know is which A-hole in the FIA other than whiplash Moseley do ferrari have in their pocket? How sare they penalise Bourdais for hitting Massa when the half wit Brazilian chopped across him? I mean Seb was already on the kerb on the inside just to avoid hitting him.
I hate Ferrari.

Massa has been invited to next week's race at our local banger racing track - his nudge & spin technique has got a few hairy arsed Yorkshire banger drivers worried for the safety of their 1984 Nissan Bluebirds.

well the race was alright up until the rain came, pity Glock didn't win. Glock's tyre choice was spot on, unlike Raikkonen who frankly looks like retiring from the sport he is so disinterested/ disillusioned.

i must admit, the BBC coverage is far better than ITV's. Also, whats happened to all of the top teams such as Maclaren and Ferarri? Why are they so slow and make such poor decisions? Good start to the season for button though, good to see another Brit at the top of a table

It's simple really.
