is it possible to have a list of people/cars who are willing to put there car on show at the event on sat/sun or even 1 day 28th/29th june require historic cars, rally car, Kart, sprint cars etc
club sec

All being well the PUG will be available, no other events that weekend.
slippy

I reckon I could possibly twist Funbob's arm to get the mini there especially as it will be up for sale shortly

Would happily bring the Clio over but will they be of interest as they are not historics
steaallan

clio

Clio would be fine as we are trying to get a wide variety of vehicles as it is a promo event for the club, to show what we do and who we are.
still a long time to go so we will see what we r able to get there

                                   thankyou
slippy

Ok fair does if we don't have an event that weekend we will happily pop along I might even wash it for the occasion, no promises like
steaallan

wash

steaallan

rally

If everyone could check there diaries for the 28th/29th june if they are not doing enything and would be able to help out (just chatting to public and promoting club) either sat or sunday please let me know by 19th april so plenty of time also by them dates if you could bring along some form of motorsport vehicle
would like to get          a single seater
                                   Kart
                                   rally car old and new
                                   historic cars
                                   off roader               etc
steaallan

rally

so far we have some promo bits sorted out
hopefully  peugot  106
              bmw 2002
              A kart
all to be confirmed
and anything else anyone has to offer
also a couple of people again to be confirmed to help out on certain days
club sec

We will need a large gazebo, generator,  TV(S) and DVD players, Wall boards, flyers, display cars and signage explaing what they are and what they are used for, claub banners, rope and stakes to keep hands off the cars, supplies of food and drink for the helpers, ideally we could perhaps do with a slideshow on a laptop (bit risky that one)!
steaallan

you could always put a slide show onto a dvd so that would sort security out How many vid /tvs are we planning on Banners food stakes and tape etc all as standard
steaallan

historic rally

Had a word with Dave from teside karting and getting a Nice shiny Kart will be no problem and i will also get approx 300 leaflets to co-promote the autodrome to be fair as we do get free advertising at there centre
Gav Taylor

I have a great video editing program called ProShow Gold that I can give to people (email) I used it to make my WRC Sweden Video. Maybe Col could use it to cobble together the best bits of his footage from the sprint last sat? (on a tangent)

I can also knock up some flyers etc if required.
club sec

You obviously are not aware of Skodamans computer knowledge then! God knows what he has done but the files on the DVD are incompatible with virtually all software known to man!
steaallan

if he can make it then pass it on to me i should be able to convert it so it will play on any dvd
club sec

No, no you misunderstand, the disc plays I just can't get the files off to put on t'internet.

Anyway, I see the signs are up and looking good, you must be on good tems with Teesside.
Gav Taylor

good work Ste, do you get much grip with slicks on grass I wonder??
steaallan

slicks

only if you like doing figure of eights      erm   sounds good
slippy

Ste if there is room we could bring the Clio and our sponsors big Bling van complete with bling bling paint job, alloys body kit etc etc
Gav Taylor

slippy

steaallan

steaallan

Gav Taylor

Dropped the Clio off tonight with Steve Allen, Jo The Waiter and crew. Rest assured I clocked the current mileage as they were joking they would be taking it for a 'test drive' once we had gone

Fair play to the boys they are there pedalling the club on our behalf so I will try and get across Saturday or Sunday dependng on the weather as we have visitors this weekend and I doubt they would enjoy walking round Preston Park in the pissing rain
Gav Taylor

how did the event go then lads?
slippy

Just spoke to Steve to arrange collection and he said it went pretty well, apparently there were a big group of hot chicks asking were you were Gav
Gav Taylor

aye, they probably wanted some child support cash!!
club sec

I heard they were there as a challenge to turn you straight.
steaallan

Thank you

I would like to say a Big thank you to everyone who helped out or loaned there vehicle for the show this weekend all your help was very much appreciated.  Everything seemed to go pretty well luckily no hitches apart from the 1/2 hour of rain we had about 2:30pm this afternoon. And also now we have our lucky winner for the final driver place for the 24hr kart race on the 23rd-24th august
More will follow in the newsletter later And once more

Road Rally Dave

I've shaved that beard off now to stop people recognising me .....

Good job to all who helped man the show last weekend - the pitch looks very impressive on the photos with a WIDE range of cars (and kart) on display.
Glad to hear you didn't gat the same severe rain that we got at 3pm on Sunday in S. Yorks. - it was a tropical downpour for 45 mins (one of the dangers of living "darn sarf")
club sec

I got caught in it whilst sat in traffic at Wetherby when the bridge demolition overran by hours and hours.
steaallan

Thank you dave it was a good event i was just glad it ran smoothly we did have a bit of rain about 2:30 but it only lasted 20-30 mins on sunday apart from that red hot
club sec
