Hamilton HeroicsI watched the best bit of F1 racing yesterday at Spa (on TV!) that I have seen for years. Have to go back to the days of Mansell, Senna, etc. to see similar levels of commitment from F1 drivers. Those final 5 laps when Hamilton closed on Raikonen were rivetting and the penultimate lap when both drivers seemed to be off track as much as on it were classic.
Then it all got a bit messy with the protest by Ferrari about Hamilton's "corner cutting" - I don't know what more Hamilton could have done to make ammends after he slowed down to let the Ferrari back past and then made sure that everyone knew he was behind by swerving from side to side behind Raikonen !
Lewis Hamiliton is a good driver and when the track is wet (like at Silverstone) he is in a different class.
Lets try to book him for a club karting "circuit-craft" teaching session before he becomes World Champion, because his fees are bound to go up.

It's a big fiddle, someone is getting a backhander from Ferrari (allegedly).

Well what a great race and with the result of Sebastian Vettel winning in the Torro Rosso (formally Minardi) it is just what f1 needed after the farce the stewards made the week previous and a good damage limitation race from Lewis hamilton

What about all of those opposite lock moments ...... maybe Lewis is hinting that he wants to try a bit of rallying (in a Mk2 Escort) ??
That's what we want to see - plenty of power slides

indeed Dave, certainly not a trait of an out and out F1 hero
to many corrective moments as you could see from the race
I'd give him Hamo's car when Loeb retires at the end of this season to go circuit racing
(mark my words)

Or make him start at the back of the grid in the Top Gear reasonably priced car and see how many people he can pass. He'd deffo have anyone in a Toyota off onto the grass, but don't think he'd catch Vettel.
Would probably end up being penalised by the stewards for having an unfair advantage due to reclining seats and heated rear window.
