Which is the easier class??
club sec

Class B.

We will be running a 6 round ironman series in 2009. The dates are Jan 25th, March 1st, April 26th, June 28th, October 25th and Nov 22nd.

The series has 2 weight classes A & B split at 13 and a half stone.

Each race costs £50 and all equipment (kart, suit, helmet, fuel) is supplied, turn up race and go home- no repairs to worry about.

The races are 20 minutes of practice and qualifying and a 40 minute race.

To be eligible for the championship you must be  a member of Stockton which is a yearly fee of £10.

I will be posting series regs up soon.

If you need more info please mail me back.

Martin.

Interesting!!! It sounds as if class B is the easy route to the championship!  I might just go on the old Stella & McDonalds diet over christmas and turn up for round 1 as the 'Fat Stig'!!! Championship No 5 in the bag !!!!
Gav Taylor

how many peoples weights have actually been verified or is it an "honesty box" type affair
joe_the_waiter

honesty box sounds good to me....

I have really put a lot of weight on lately....  all 15 stone of me
Gav Taylor

you fat bast@rd!! you fat bast@rd!! you fat bast@rd!!

I'm down to a svelte 10 1/2 stone now as my quest for the "summer look" continues...lean protein rich low carb diet and gym is what its about boys!
bob_mck

at the moment im working my way into Group A. It may be a bit harder at the top but you go quicker round the track.
steaallan

well what a good race that was i really enjoyed especially when i changed karts after running out of fuel it Bob did a stirling race everything seem to handle well and colin was as usual on top form and it was good for sally to be out there even if i didnt see her on track well done for the last event of the year for a lot of us if not all
happy xmas and happy new year

** after joining after the start of the race stepping in at the last min for L Warriner who had to cancel due to man flu
bob_mck

I must admit it wasnt a bad run out. Good practice n nice to have a good cart once in a while. Also, looks like steve would have beaten dave if he had a clear run
steaallan

we had a good battle in the last few laps i was cloing him down but things were pretty even
joe_the_waiter

Ste was two places down on me when he ran out of fuel towards the end of the race... so unlikely. Also... as he ran out of fuel... he was running lighter throuout. When he came back... altho he reckoned he was quicker.... his lap times were slower.
  quite simply..... i beat him

running lighter throughout?

these are hire carts that get thrashed daily by people who dont know how to use them, corporate days, ect!

fuel load is a tiny factor dave....your head's full of cartoons mate

joe_the_waiter

Ste... you qualified behind me, were behind me in the first kart and behind me in the second. You finished the race behind me.....

Only 3 weeks until the first round on January 25th.

Dave & Steve, put the handbags down will you!!  Let the driving do the talking on Jan 25th when we are racing for real, not just a little test session like before christmas. Don't forget, the championship table doesn't lie - but i still should have been champion !!!!

Hi Guys, looking forward to racing against you all this year in the heavyweight class.  I already know I can't make the race on April 26th - so it looks like I'll be dropping that 'score'.  See you all on Sunday!
steaallan

come on martin why dont you and the good lady join in aswell and if she doesnt fancy it you could ask sally
club sec

Fnarr, Fnarr.

Looks like we might be having a CHR meeting (just for grown ups) whilst the race is on.
Gav Taylor

2 birds and all that. though surely if its a CHR meeting why have it at a race track?
club sec

So we can get some stuff done whilst all the gobshites are out on the track.
Gav Taylor

saves some money I suppose. So is it a free bar then next week while we celebrate SDMC's success as champions of the quiz?

only fair.
Simon
