Tour of Hamsterley Rally 2009

Well folks WE ARE BACK FOR 2009 !!!

Despite our set back of having to cancel in 2008, the organising team are back with more enthusiasm to deliver a first class rally in the forests of Teesdale!

We have changed the format completley...and have a brand new date - 10th May 2009 - so put it in your diary. Watch the website for more info as it develops... we completed the full route survey on Tuesday and its looking good.

Barnard Castle Start
Three Stages in Hamsterley
Service on tarmac back in Barnard Castle
at least two stages in Stang Forest
back to service
then a final run through three stages in Hamsterley before a finish back in Barney!

Pattersons notes will be available too.

40 stage miles and approx 50 road miles and of course we are working hard to keep the entry fee as low as possible...

new and quite frankly epic promo vid on the way

if I do say so myself.

but seriously the new format is great evolution of the SV model and as testament to be included in the ANECCC stage rally championship when we have never even ran the event yet is a great investment of trust into the organising team on a national scale.

No pressure lads.

make or break or should that be watch and learn other clubs?

Our team has gelled from the start and I for one believe thats a big plus in rallying's battle of the ego's you so commonly see.

Things are looking good gents, will have to see how the dates for the challenge rounds fall but if we dont enter we will marshall or assist in some other way

regs out for two weeks entries coming in well.....lets keep our fingers crossed and anything else to ensure we get the number of starters we need to make it have ppen!

Also Dave needs marshals so if your not competing get in touch and into the woods to marshal - I hope we can count on every member from the club to assist in some way however small!
