I agree with Club Sec - we need to stop all this bickering as it's totally unconstructive. Surely the forum is meant to be used for the betterment of the club? _________________

Right we are in to the last week before the event, all help welcome on the day.
Marshals please PM JTW or click the link from www.crofthistoricrally.co.uk
48 entries, 2 withdrawn, so in effect a full entry, not bad for a country in recession.
Mike and I would like to thank all those involved in the event in any capacity, lets hope for good weather and a good event.
Final meeting will be this Wednesday.
No spectators at the start/ finish only Croft circuit please, we cannot guarantee safety at the football club test.
Entry to the circuit is free although Croft circuit kindly request a donation to their chosen charity St Teresa's hospice, Darlington.
First car will be at Croft around 10.15, the cars will leave the circuit for 3 remote tests (no public access) and regularity but return for more tests and a lunch halt around 12.00 noon. This will hopefully give the public a chance to see the cars & competitors close up.
Official photographs of the event will be on www.srh-motorsport-photography.com shortly after the event. Simon Harrison is our chosen photographer and a good friend of Stockton & District Motor Club, please support him by purchasing a picture or two of the event.
The organisers wish you all a safe and pleasant day. |

The event is still on despite todays legal ruling.
Noise is capped at 98db as per the blue book. |

Took a more mature gentleman from Ilkley MC up to the finish, drove all the Cliff Hall stage in anger...gets to the finish we both get out and he looks at me and says "thats not a standard engine then"
yes my friend, it is. _________________

Quite enjoyed this morning, bit of craic with JTW and Bob Mack at signing on along the lines of Gaylor is a piss head and wont surface till after lunch
Monster butty & brew from the chuck wagon and a walk round noise/scruitineering checking out the cars
Marshalled/spectated on test 2 and was quite impressed with some of the crews commitment but also & unfortunatley witnessed the mini estate twatting the tree that hard e bent the roof amongst other things
Good event all in all and nice to see some old cars getting a ringing out _________________ SMOGSPORT'S OFFICIAL WEB SITE |

dunno what all the fuss was about, last year I said i would marshal, though didnt officially say i would then got flamed more than jesus did when he p1ssed off the Jerusalem crew when i didnt go.
If i say i'll do something I'll stick to it. Today showed that. At the end of the day its me and you who are giving up our weekend so someone else can blast about in a rally car for a laugh.
Just a shame i couldnt catch up with the Slipmiester general
on another comedy line was having some crack with Peacocks breadknife....
"Gav" now then Sal hows it going?
"Sal" yeah not to bad, ta just got back from a class, bit sore
"Gav" Oh right, do you go down the gym and that like?

I see test 6 times were cancelled so I effectively wasted a day marshalling. _________________

It was all your fault!
Seriously, who was to know the clock would break?
Regardless of that, Mike and I give many, many thanks to all those who in any way assisted with the day however big or small the contribution on a very cold day. |
