he went at full whack, sideways into a tyre wall. Bent the steering wheel n smacked his leg on something.
Quite a good effort, hes walking but not very well

just back from hospital... nothing broken... barely walk or bend my knee... but ok.
yes... 100% commitment... even asked if they will give me another kart to continue with while i was still flat out unable to move. I said i will have enough movement to press the brake.... and after being helped back in the kart (and helped back out at finish), i was back in the action, overtaking and even able to keep rough pace with Colin at one point. finished last as i lost a few laps while they straightened the kart to roughly the same shape.

yes Bob, you certainly tested its offroad capabilities to the limit... i tested mine to destruction.
The 'something' i hit my leg on, was the steering.... i think they had bent it some of the way back before they pointed it out to me...
well... it was a proper 'off', Kart at its fastest and just throw it sideways.... see........ i'm a rally man... circuits are crap... at least in a proper rally i would of hit a tree or two, the odd spectator and had a corner named after me.....

can see it now "Waiters corner"
was it wet like? You should of planted the throttle mid side and gave it op lock and soaked up the kudos as everyone talked about your power slide after the race _________________

It was one of those awful moments, I was looking the other way and heard the screech of locked wheels/ tyres then as I turned I saw the kart on the grass then...........THUD! I saw the driver come out and thought it was game over. Went down to the marshals post to see who it was, sounds horrible but I was hoping it wasn't "one of the lads".
I honestly expected a hospital trip but it was a real stomach turner.

thats true.
I saw the red flags out and thought someone else had been offroading, till i passed someone (turned out to be dave) laid out on the deck. To be honest there wasnt much movement and i thought he was knocked out!!
but after it, you can only laugh or cry
