lol at the lollipop thing - what a doughnut

That's it evolution - things can only get better - it wasn't a bad effort for five mins of work with a rolling pin

                                          ......... a bit cheesey. perhaps??.
                              .......  on second thoughts..
maybe thats a half baked idea...

Nowt on telly so catching up with the gossip.

Just wanted to say Dave that the work and effort you and Declan put into the pitboard messages over 24 hours was amazing, and I hope appreciated by all.

As for the plastic chicane question I posed a few days ago, little did I think it would develop into a debate on who's a lifter and who isn't..............

My view - yes - I agree with all the comments on skill levels and taking it flat out, and more than any other part of the circuit, it definitely took at least half a second out of a lot of the field. The ones that took it flat out deserved that half second.

At the risk of being shot down in flames, my own opinion is that it is an unsafe obstacle, only added to save engines, and we were lucky there wasn't a 20 kart pile up at some point. Having rolled a Kart on 2 occasions, it isn't pleasant, and until you get off the track, you are very vulnerable to being hit by 150kg at speed - ouch!

I think Gav is a lifter.

I carry a lot of speed through the esses and the quite often came across very slow karts who had bottled it in the temporary chicane forcing me to take avoiding action. Sadly I am out paced out of the slow corners also so that really compromised me.

I never lift through the esses....  but maybe thats why i nearly killed myself......

on my first lap back on the track, i lifted slightly on the last apex (left one).... but just went back to flat the second lap round.
I guess everyone will come on and say they all take it flat (the reason i always did) but ever since, when watching and taking note ... it seems everyone lifts about 3 metres before the last apex. (during the 24 hr.. i never heard anyone go through flat)

Well I'm an official lifter - and I also think it was/is dangerous so I shall be shot for being both a lifter and an objector - the main thing I disliked was the outer plastic block was red and imo I feel it should have been white especially for when it was dark - the white stands out far more than the red - they should have rearranged it so it went red, white, red, white, red, white n not the other way round    - the red did nothing to make it my friend nor quash it as a psychological barrier

Get yourself over to the Rally threads and have some fun.....  its where its at girl.

Ahhhh Rally - hmmmmmm - personally I think I was a born rally driver - just never had the opportunity to do so rofl

I mean watching is all very well - but personally - I prefer to be taking part

The sole reason why I don't watch sport on TV - I'd rather be playing than watching
