according to JTW the Guy Wilks Night was organised by a one man band was it not?

At the end of the day both ran very well bar the shite clocks on the CHR so thats either...

A: Luck

or

B: A very organised and devoted team of club members (bar me, of course just hovering on the fringes)

In my opinion the point when it should have been discussed at a club meeting was surely before anything was booked - sorry but I don't understand why you couldn't wait or even mention it at last night's club night.

i forgot to mention it.  besides, it is only provisionally booked. There was only two friday slots left over the latter part of the year. the one i got was the one thats fits with the rally calender best. (it is a rally night). To leave it much later to prov book it would risk losing a Friday booking which as we found out last year made a difference.
although i never said it was a one man band, i certainly did the most of the work and i'm sure no one can argue that, but how did it put the CHR 2 months behind? My part of the CHR didnt start until Christmas and if i was behind, how was it that everything was done in time for the event?
As Gav said, 6 weeks is a good distance between both events and as last year, i wont be asking for much help from other members except on the evening itself.
Did no one enjoy last years? why does it seem some people dont want it to run this year?

from a profile point of view I would go with the Guy Wilks nights over a historic rally any day of the week

theres so many low profile events now and as were starting to get establshibed with real rallies

i.e the ToH with WRC machinery it shows were getting noticed
