just been catching up on the thread and having a laugh at it. So its been said that the temp chicane is going to be permanent, that scuppers me as after coming down the bank with no weight i was flying a main overtaking area for me (in fact 2 fast for the kart to take the chicane that is why i had to lift) as the kart was to twitchy with no ballast on it.
Does anyone know the optimum weight for the karts as i was thinking about tying my son on to my back for the extra weight i think that should be about the right weight then.
Malcolm tell linda if she is doing the rain dance myself and her are going to have a falling out ps have you got a prediction for the (sdmc 24hr team B) driver order for this race _________________ empire killer |

I have to admit to wishing for damp conditions this time! What i think
is really outstanding is that Teesside Karting have had to cap the
entries at 35! I can't believe we are having to have a reserve list!
To anyone who hasn't joined the SDMC karting championship this
year, the above speaks volumes for the level of competition and
fun factor on offer. I can't help but point out that there is no other
competitive motorsport on offer which has this ammount of
tracktime and sense of friendly rivalry all for £50 per race !!!
That's a full season's motorsport for £300 with no vehicle
preparation, no repair costs - nothing. Turn up, race, go home!
Get your entries in for November !!!! |

Get your entries in for 2010, the dates are finalised & championship regs will be out at the next event.
Highly impressed that in the wake of a recession we are filling the grid to the max. |

Steve,
Linda got the day wrong and thought it was today, shame, I was looking forward to a wet race.
Prediction for our team B finishing tomorrow
Class A drivers
Bob
You
Me
Class B drivers
Ahmed
Atilla
However, with 35 drivers on the grid, I would be very surprised if there aren't incidents in the first 2 laps that alter the expected result, but that's motor racing for you, just got to deal with it!
Good luck to all, see you in the bar after. _________________ Over the hill, and picking up speed............... |

Well the rain dance didn't work did it? Looks like any damp will soon
vanish as the wind is strong. Should be behind us on the back straight! |

Didn't i tell you Bob. If you have a tailwind at the back chicane it will
unsettle the back end of the kart! You may have to dab the brakes
going in or you might scatter the bollards! |

Well, what a race that was! When Andy Worley took pole with James Skyers second, i though that 3rd place was the best i could have hoped
for in this race. That rain dance that everyone did seemed to bite all the
drivers in the end, it goes to show that if you want a good race a bit of
rain is the answer! The shower might have only lasted about two minutes
but the effect on the race was massive.
It was nice to see so many drivers and from so far afield.
Brian Naylor - Milton Keynes
Atilla Sabir - Glasgow
David Sullivan - Sheffield
James Skyers - Surrey ???
Paul Blackwell - York
Just to name a few. |

The championship is certainly close and very hard work to say the least!
I would like to think some new drivers will challenge for top spots in the
next race - maybe a totally wet race would cause a stir! Chris Roe is
very much the man in the drivers seat and only freak circumstances
would deny him the title this year. Still, to finish first, first you must
finish - Roll on Nov 29th!
