Gav,  was just looking again at draft of club website.......

i must say, congrats on your new appointment....  when do you start? before the monte? are you in south of france as we speak testing?

and Martin & Sally....  well done....  my (yet to happen) servicing obviously helped in your quest to beat the best at Croft on (this coming) saturday.  Amazing.... 106 beats the 6R4's

i noticed also Gav...  no dedicated 'news' page..

Dave,

first of all many thanks for supporting me in my raise to eventually join SWRT

the draft was just that, its a template that I will change to suit.

I will drop a "news" page in no danger but can we keep it updated throughout the year? theres nowt worse than an out of date news page as i'm sure you'll agree.

obviously I will give yourself and Martin the log ins to add deatils / events and the like when its done

Dave do you want a "news" button in the menu bar or shall I just keep it on the side on the main page, my opinion would be to keep it on the main page and be complete with a small summary of the latest news

for example...

"SMDC crew triumph on Paris Dakar...read more"

"Taylor marries girl he met at SDMC club night"

"Brownridges Quattro discovered in Somalian MPs lock up in bizarre Cleveland police cocaine sting"

and so on

how about getting rid of topics in the forum which have been inactive for a while say 4 months. That way you dont have to keep scrolling down through endless topics! I am not a comp wizz kid like some so i dont know if it is easily do'able but it is just a thought

certainly is mate, I can set the forum to prune threads that have not been posted in after a certaindate. piss easy.

the flip side is that we lose any info / pics people have taken the time to load on.

If there are no objections I will set this up.
