Due to being somewhat drunk at a wedding I wasn't able to attend but I have seen some pictures and if the weather was as bed as it was in Newcastle then I am quite glad I didn't.
Well done those who went out and braved the elements in the name of the club. |

It absolutely chucked it down! On the plus side, this made for a quiet time
from a marshalling point of view as spectator numbers were down. It was
actually a good stage to be posted on as you could see about 80 percent
of the action where ever you were stood. Amazingly two cars crashed on
the very first corner - one quite badly! Also me & Stu McK were lucky to
be here after a close escape in the service park. We had just watched
the Able Motorsport team service the Focus WRC when as it pulled away
there was an explosion at the service truck, followed by a fire.
Apparently a generator exploded!
All in all a good day, shame about the weather! |

Fabulous day. 100% commitment by everyone, despite the rain. Gazebos took a beating... as did most of the service crews' .
easy stage to run and as Col said, good viewing. After the 'Rally weather' first run... it dried up and second run was ok.
Thanks to Steve for being Stage Commander and on behalf of myself... thanks very much to the rest of the team. It all ran like clockwork and everyone played their part... from the stage start.... to the stage stop.
Bob had a grin all day long at it widened when he won a prize in the draw. |

Make sure to let Mike know who went so he can update the championship.
