Can the boy Hamilton be the first ever British driver to win his home GP in his debut season and nail another record?

| Is Hamilton feeling the pressure then? 2 relatively poor showings in a row, luckily it is Ferrari and not Alonso who have been the major beneficiaries. |

Sunday was it bit OTT like!! Inviting the beckhams along (allbeit with honda)
I bet he was really under some mega pressure and it showed when he *almost* cocked up his pitstop
Maybe too much too soon but still a podium and some solid championship points
just need a Hamilton for the WRC now _________________

come on...... has any other driver in history performed so well in a debut season? he currently leads the championship, has never finished outside the top 3 and has shown he's capable of battling for his place on the track. he's no.2 to the reigning world champion and not just propping up Alonso... he's showing the way.
If he finished the season on the points he has now.... could he of been expected to do any better at the beginning of the season? 7 times champion Micheal Schumacher didn't do this well in his first season. He's already exceeded expectations..... lets not start expecting more than is fair. |

| I think the point is that we all want him to do it, the whole country wanted him to win on Sunday, it just wasn't to be. It isn't often we Brit's have something of a sporting hero these days so when we have half a chance we go mad for it! I think we have had too many disappointing penalty shootouts and need another (if somewhat different) 1966!! |

My point exactly. The point being that that everyone in england was expecting hime to win the race simply because he's this "child superstar" on his home turf.
Its ok bigging him up but he'll be sitting at home thinking sh1t the whole world thinks and im gonna win every race (according to the media hype) and maybe this'll be a good motivational tool but it can have a negative effect if he goes "through a bad spell" (relative of course).
hence my post =>
