These photos are stirring some interest on the BritishRally Forum - who can provide more info, especially why they are in daylight (was it early morning in summertime ?) ???

Like the "push on regardless" style of the bent saab !

I think the the Fiat - Car No 41 might be Ned Brook.

Don't recognise the "white ".

I agree that the photos were probably taken early morning at the end of the event

Road Rallies were much longer in those days.

My first major road rally was in Derbyshire and was over 220 miles long with a compulsory 45 minute halt in the middle.Thank God for Proplus.

Agree derek....could be Ned in 41.

As for the white - think 76 was a MNews round but the terrain looks very flat so cannot think were the white could be...more of a map 93 white?? I think.....
It does look like an early morning selective.  I remember even the 1992/3 east midlands rounds we did running into daylight!
