Wish someone would do descriptions of road rally routes like this (preferable before we had to drive them !)

Wot tyres are you using - have you got an extreme wet weather set up just in case ?

a few competitors on the rain lashed xmas stages were using gravels quite sucessfully, something to bear in mind.

Do you have to use tyres from a set list, because gravel tyres are legal for road use provided they have the correct sidewall markings (I think) ? I find that part worn (no more than about 5mm tread) gravel tyres are more progressive on wet roads because they slide a bit more easily, when road tyres either grip or don't which can lead to a sudden slide.

Looks like it will be dry on Sunday according to Look North forecast (Yorkshire version)
